Firelands Regional Medical Center staff will be on board the Erie County Care-A-Van at various locations throughout the month of March. While on board, staff will be providing free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings. Lipid Profiles will also be offered fro $18. Please note: The Lipid Profile requires a 12 hour fasting period.

The Fireland's Beacon of Light is a program developed to recognize team members who exemplify and exhibit the Values of Firelands Regional Medical Center in the areas of Service, Integrity, Respect, Unity and Stewardship along with their commitment as a member of our community.

United Way 2-1-1 Announces New Online Service PDF Print E-mail

United Way 2-1-1 has announced a new web service. Individuals can now log onto the United Way 2-1-1 website to get connected to the help and resources they need.
United Way 2-1-1 has provided information and referral service to residents of Lucas and Ottawa Counties since March 2005 and Wood and Erie Counties since November 2006. However, United Way 2-1-1 service was only available by calling 2-1-1 or by making a request in person at the United Way 2-1-1 office in downtown Toledo.

It's the time of year again when W-2s are starting to appear in everyone's mailboxes.  Certainly, no one is excited about filing taxes, much less paying them.  Nevertheless, the benefits they provide far outweigh the frustration we go through during tax season.  And fortunately, there are services to help us sift through confusing tax forms and to ease the stress that paying federal and state taxes puts on our budgets.

I thought it might be helpful to give you a brief overview of what is involved in a small claims case.  Our Small Claims Court is a special division of the Huron Municipal Court that is limited to claims for money damages not to exceed $3,000 plus interest that arise in the City of Huron or Huron Township. Claims in excess of this amount that do not exceed the $15,000 municipal court limitation must be transferred to the General Division of the Huron Municipal Court.
