Kingston of Vermilion has announced that it will once again be hosting the Annual Taste of Vermilion on April 17 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.  For $15 per person you can sample a wonderful variety of wines and gourmet cuisine from local vendors and winery's.  There is also a silent auction with many specialty items from Vermilion businesses.  The wineries will also have bottles of wine for sale.

*        Fit-N-Fun - for those who want a lighter intensity, low impact
workout.  Classes are offered Mondays and Fridays in February (except
February 18th) from 9:30 - 10:30 am; and Tuesday, February 19th from 10
- 11 am.

Seed for Wildlife Food Plots Available PDF Print E-mail

Once again the local Erie-Ottawa-Sandusky chapter of Pheasants Forever has a limited amount of free corn, sorghum and sunflower seed for landowners in Erie, Ottawa and Sandusky Counties. This seed is being made available for the establishment of food plots for wildlife. The only stipulation of the program is that these food plots must not be harvested, so that the areas remain as a source of food and shelter for wildlife over winter. One bag of seed corn will plant approximately three acres, and one bag of sorghum seed will produce four acres of standing sorghum.

Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler! - Let the Good Times Roll!  There is still time to purchase tickets for the Firelands' Auxiliary Lamplighter's Mardi Gras Dance which will be held on January 26 in the Nia Center at Kalahari Resorts from 7 p.m. - Midnight.  
Don't miss out on the entertainment of the gurney parade starting at 7:30 p.m.  Dance to a live band and enjoy both a silent and live auction. And no Mardi Gras event would be complete without King Cakes, beads and masks. Come dressed to impress. Costumes are encouraged. Proceeds will be used to purchase Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy equipment.
