Lady Tigers Softball Team Celebrates PDF Print E-mail

Last Wednesday, May 28, the Huron High School girl's softball team celebrated a successful season with the traditional Huron Sports Boosters awards banquet at Messenburg's Plaza Place.  Attended by school officials, coaches, parents, and players, a buffet style banquet proceeded the ceremony where the players were recognized for their individual as well as team achievements.

Browns Backers Golf Benefit PDF Print E-mail

The 1st Annual Huron Browns Backers "FUN" raiser Golf Outing on May 18 at the Keys Golf Course. Mother Nature decided that we should play "soggy" golf but let the sun shine at tee off. We had 14 - 4 man teams that played 9 holes. We had done some fun holes like teeing off with one foot in a bucket, putting with a hockey stick and putting with a tennis ball.

Huron Boys Excel At Regional Track Meet PDF Print E-mail

track_01.jpgThe Huron boys track team dug down deep to compete at the Division 2 regional track and field meet held at Lexington High School May 29th & 31st. This regional meet was one of the best all around meets in the state. Top times, throws, and distances were turned in by the best the Northwest schools had to offer. It won't be a surprise to see the State Champion school come from this region.

Those questions and more were addressed by educators, business leaders and economic development officials who met May 30 at EHOVE Career Center to continue the process of connecting the employment-educational process through an effort called Workforce 2015.
