Spring is here, and so is the Zion Youth Flower Dollar Sale! The youth of Zion Lutheran Church Huron will be selling $10.00 "Flower Dollar" coupons valid toward your choice of any flats, potted flowers, or hanging baskets at
Colonial gardens. The coupons will be available from Sunday, April 20 through Sunday, May 18 in between services as well as in the church office Monday through Thursday. Use your Flower Dollars like cash at Colonial Gardens, 3506

Sean Templeton To Be Ordained |

Deacon Sean Templeton is a life-long resident of Huron, Ohio. He was baptised in Christ Episcopal Church in 1982. After attending St. Peter's Catholic School for nine years he, enrolled in Huron High School where he graduated in 2001. He attended Ashland University where he graduated with honours in 2005 majoring in Political Science, History and Philosophy. After attending TESM for a semester, Sean transferred back to Ashland Theological Seminary where he is expected to graduate with an MDIV in June. Sean will be ordained a priest on May 1 by the Rt. Rev. Lyons and the Rt. Rev. Ames at St. Luke's Church in Akron at 7pm. He will be celebrating his first mass at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Huron, Ohio at 10 a.m. on May 3, 2008. He is currently serving with Fr. John Jorden at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Milan OH and planting a church in the Fremont area.

Kingston of Vermilion has announced that it will once again be hosting
the Annual Taste of Vermilion on April 17 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. For $15
per person you can sample a wonderful variety of wines and gourmet
cuisine from local vendors and winery's. There is also a silent
auction with many specialty items from Vermilion businesses. The
wineries will also have bottles of wine for sale.

Our 24-year-old daughter, Kathryn, just returned from two months in
Costa Rica. She worked on an organic farm, lived in a tree house, was
awakened by "monkey alarm clocks" in the morning, met host families,
taught English and art while learning some Spanish.
Now what? She is brimming over with tales of exotic experiences. But
what does she do with all of this? How does she apply her new knowledge
to 2008 USA? Plus (her parents tell her), she does need a real job in
order to pay her real bills.

Erie County 4-H Hosts 28th Annual Chicken BBQ & Benefit Auction |

The Erie County 4-H Committee, Erie County 4-H Camp, Inc. and Erie
County Heritage Committee will host the 28th Annual Erie County 4-H
Chicken BBQ & Auction on Saturday, April 12th. The event will be
held at EHOVE Career Center, Building F, located at 316 W. Mason Rd.,
Milan, just west of Route 250.
Chicken dinners complete with side dishes and beverages will be served
from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are available in quarter, half, and
carry-out portions. Prices will be $7.50 for a half chicken dinner,
$6.50 for a quarter chicken dinner, and $4.50 for a half chicken
carry-out dinner. Tickets for the barbecue are available at the door.
