If you are a senior citizen in trouble with a payday loan store, Serving Our Seniors needs your participation, so they can help YOU. On April 9th at 4 p.m. the Ohio Attorney General's Office (OAG) would like to hear from people who are indebted to pay day loan stores. The OAG's office is gathering information to see if there is justifiable reason for taking some type of action on payday lending.
Serving Our Seniors is a geriatric social service that advocates for Erie County older adults and their ability to live independently. They invite senior citizens age 60+ to join the Director of Serving Our Seniors, Sue Daugherty, on a trip to Columbus. She will be giving testimony to the hardship payday lending stores have caused for low and low-moderate income senior citizens.
Thanks to Providence Care Center, a bus and driver have been made available to transport those interested in attending. "The Coalition for Responsible Lending" has agreed to pay for the driver and gasoline so that this trip will be at no cost to rider. To reserve a seat call Serving Our Seniors at 419-624-1856 or 1-800-564-1856 by April 7th.
