Rosa Burnett, 83, residing in Erie County Care Facility, Huron Twp., died Sunday, April 20, 2008, with her family by her side, after an 11-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was born May 7, 1924, in Gallia County, and lived most of her life in Gallipolis, Ohio.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" or "Libby" and son-in-law, Harrison Smith of Sandusky; much-loved grandsons, Mark (Darcy) Smith of Gahanna, Ohio, and Brian Smith of Dublin, Ohio; her brother, Raymond Eugene (Geri) Wright of Waldron, Mich.; sisters, Edna Wright of Columbus, Katherine Marino of South Windsor, Conn.; brother-in-law, Buell Burnett of Bidwell, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Shenie Burnett of Patriot, Ohio, and Louise Burnett of Gallipolis; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the Smith family members and all her extended family at Erie County Care Facility.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Burnett; daughter, Mary; parents, Homer and Lillie Wright; brothers, Oliver and Clarence Wright; and sister, Ella Fife.
Arrangements were handled at Cremeens Funeral Chapel, 75 Grape St., Gallipolis.
