The Bridge is Falling Down??? |

 Gone: The wooden footbridge crossing over Route 6 on Huron's East Side is no more. Last week, construction workers from Tusing Builders of Monroeville began dismantling the privately owned structure linking the Beachwood Villas with the complex's tennis courts located across the road. Brett Ward, a supervisor on the project, said that removal of the 10-ton structure was relatively easy in spite of it crossing a major thoroughfare. Several days of careful preparation permitted their crane to swiftly swing the final laminated beams to the ground. Traffic on Route 6 was delayed for less than 5 minutes. Photo by Michael A. Foster
