Display Cases
This month the display cases in the Library's east and west entrances are titled "Huron Youth Connection" by Paula May. This month our Gallery houses a quilt made by students of Firelands Montessori Academy. During your visit to the library, be sure to take a few minutes to enjoy these exhibits.
Mystery Book Group
Mystery Book Group of the Huron Public Library meets Wednesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss The Sudoku Murder the first in Shelley Freydont's Katie McDonald series.
Katie McDonald is a mathematician and puzzle master who takes time off from her Institute of Theoretical Mathematics job to return to her hometown and help her mentor try to save the Avondale Puzzle Museum. When Katie arrives, she finds her friend dead at his desk. The police think she is the chief suspect in the professor's murder. An unfinished Sudoku puzzle that her mentor was working on may provide a clue to the actual murderer and help Katie prove her innocence. Thursday Night Theater
It is always a family night out at Huron Public Library's Thursday Night Theater. This month's free movie will be on Thursday, May 22 from 6 - 8 p.m.
In this month's movie we find treasure hunter, Benjamin Franklin Gates, back and looking to discover the truth behind the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. He finds John Wilkes Booth's diary and is determined to uncover the mystery within the 18 missing pages in this great action adventure.
This movie has been rated PG and will run 101 minutes. Refreshments will be available for a nominal fee from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. For more information call, 419-433-5009.
