Ohio Sea Grant Extension is pleased to announce the addition of Tory Gabriel as its new fisheries program coordinator for Fisheries Extension Enhancement (FEE). Based at the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center in Bay Village, he will conduct fisheries education programs all along the Ohio Lake Erie shoreline.
"Tory will expand our fisheries extension capabilities with programs and projects to increase recreational fishing participation and revenues along the Lake Erie shoreline," says Fred Snyder, Ohio Sea Grant Extension Specialist. "His programs will aim at helping the public understand the roles and actions of agencies managing Lake Erie's fisheries, and will help people find the information resources they need for enjoyable and safe outings on the lake."
Tory holds a bachelor's degree in fish and wildlife biology and a master's degree in education from Ohio University. In 2007, he worked as a research and teaching assistant at Ohio State's F.T. Stone Laboratory. He can be reached at:
