EHOVE team takes First Place again at High School Nationals |

EHOVE Career Center students earned enough points to take First Place among more than 100 high schools at the May 10 AC Delco High School Nationals, held at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk . This is the sixth time EHOVE has earned first place at the contest, winning the team racing competition.
Making it to the Second Round was Noah Seiling, Edison: Third Round: Clayton McMurray , Danbury , and Paul Bansek , Edison;Fourth Round: Clint Nickoli, St. Paul .
Chase Smith , South Central, won first place in the Ugliest Working Wreck category while Tony Hoff , Western Reserve , took third in the same category. Steve Hahn , Western Reserve, made it to the second round in the Smokey Burnout contest, spewing red smoke from the tires. Kenny Graves, Margaretta, won First Place in the Car Show for his GMC truck.
EHOVE had a large contingent of students, approximately 125, from several programs represented at the races. The school has competed in the races since 1989 and has won first place six times. In total, about 500 cars were entered in competition for the day-long event.
