The EHOVE Police Academy class of 2008 graduated 10 members of the Ohio
Peace Officer's Training Academy May 9. The ceremony was held at
Mesenburg's Banquet Hall, Huron. Completion of the class is a
requirement to be eligible to sit for the Ohio Peace Officer Training
Academy Certification test.
The student speaker was Nick Mazur of Sandusky. John Majoy, a Sergeant
with the Huron Police Department, is the commander of the full-time
program and John Spitler, EHOVE's Dean of Students, oversees the entire
operation. EHOVE had 100% first-time passage of the physical fitness
portion of the program. Norwalk Police Officer Mike Conney is the
physical fitness instructor.

Top Physical Fitness: Marie Ketz Top Academic Scores: Nickolas Mazur
This course meets the required 558 hour OPOTC minimum hours making
students eligible to receive their basic OPOTC Certification. In
addition, students receive additional non-mandatory specialized
training and/or certifications.
