FTMC Nuclear Medicine Department Passes State Inspection With No Deficiencies

Fisher-Titus Medical Center’s nuclear medicine department recently completed an Ohio State Department of Health inspection and was found to have no deficiencies. This unannounced inspection occurs at least once every three years and lasts about 6 hours. This inspection measures a facility’s radiation safety, radiation exposure, quality control and operating procedures.
“We were given a 100 percent with no violations during this inspection,” said Dr. Matthew G. Gutowicz, Jr., chief of the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. “This achievement is an honor and demonstrates the level of quality that our technologists and radiologists take to provide the best possible care to our patients.”
